Beginnings
A self-managed, self-produced DIY Progressive Metalcore band that began outside of Harrisburg, PA. Guitarist Joshua Engle started the band as a studio project in 2016, writing several of the songs with former bassist Tyler Krepps that are featured on their Soul Stasis EP.
Recorded and produced at his home studio in Liverpool, PA (Native Studios), Josh teamed up with original vocalist Jesus Cedano, bassist/vocalist Khaynen Alwine and drummer Bobby Hoechner to solidify a strong line-up and bring the songs to life.

Illusion of Solace is a Progressive Metalcore band currently based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The band formed with the vision that they could tell stories through the music they create and be able reach people in the local community who turn to music as an emotional and stress release.
Musical influences range from Invent Animate, Currents, Architects, Northlane, ERRA, Polaris, After The Burial, and The Devil Wears Prada.
Lyrical content focuses on personal struggles with depression, anxiety, addiction, loss and how it affects everyday life. Although difficult topics to write about, there is a positive message to be found in each song.
The band spent many months working on their debut EP, making sure that every note and transition was exactly what they wanted. As the production for the EP wrapped up in February of 2019, vocalist Jesus Cedano had to step away from the band for personal reasons, but his vocals are featured on the EP along with former bassist/vocalist Khaynen Alwine contributing some clean vocals and screams on several tracks.
